Michael Mike Hartman

Michael “Mike” Hartman, 67, of Wimauma FL, formerly of Terre Haute IN, passed away on March 30, 2024 at Tampa General Hospital with his loving companion Kate by his side. Mike was born in Vigo County, on December 6, 1957 to James Hartman and TeAta (Watson) Hartman. Mike was a 1976 graduate of Terre Haute North High School, a member of the Air National Guard for 9 years, and  had ben employed at McGuire Excavating and Trucking for 27 years. He was a Ham Radio Operator NF9F, a member of the Terre Haute Masonic Lodge 12 points #769, a previous member of the Scottish Rite Valley of Terre Haute, a member of the Zorah Shrine Temple, and a member of the Hilltoppers. The Hilltop is where he enjoyed his camping days, sitting around the campfires telling stories, enjoying Bluegrass Music, as well as working on antique cars and campers. 

Those left to cherish his memories are his devoted companion of 47 years Katherine “Kate” Watson, a son Shawn Michael Hartman, a brother Mitchel Hartman, a sister Malinda White, along with nieces, nephews and several friends that he enjoyed spending time with.

A Celebration of his life will be held at a later date. 

In lieu of flowers family has asked that donations be made to a Go Fund Me set up to help with funeral costs.
