Barbara Johanningsmeier, 96, of Sullivan passed away on Wednesday July 10, 2019 at Breckenridge Nursing home. She was born in Sandborn on July 4, 1923 to Cecil D. Robbins and Rachel (Arnett) (Robbins) Wildman. She was a 1941 graduate from Carlisle High School. Barbara was a waitress at Shamrock Restaurant and last worked at Toles Flower both in Anderson, IN. She was a member of Central Christian Church in Anderson and Faith Community Church in Dugger. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Freddie J. Smith (Vietnam ’68), and a son-in-law Daniel James.
Survivors include her daughter Judy James of Carlisle, grandchildren; Doug James (Susie Shepler) and David James (Jana) both of Sullivan, four great grandchildren; Max James (Arial), Sepehara James, Haylie Dugan (Justin) and Landrey James. Three great-great grandchildren; Deavany Brooks, Clinton and Jep Hamilton.
Visitation for Barbara will be 11:00 am to 2:00 pm with services to follow on Monday July15, 2019 at Holmes Memorial Chapel with Rev. Shawn Farris Officiating. Burial will be at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Carlisle.
