Doris Miller

Doris Joanne Miller, 89, of Terre Haute, passed away on Friday August 2, 2019 at West Minister Village Health Care. She was born in Sullivan County on April 1, 1930 to David E Huff and Helen E (Monk) Huff. She was a 1948 graduate of Graysville High School and a graduate of Indiana State University School of Education. Doris was a teacher in Greene County, Vermillion County, and Sullivan County. She was a member of the Indiana State Teachers Association and had attended Terre Haute, Greenwood Baptist Church and the Assembly of God Churches, Sullivan Church of the Nazarene. Preceding her in death are her parents, her husband Herschell Miller in 1969, and her daughter Michelle Boyd in 2015.

Survivors include her son in-law Kevin Boyd of Terre Haute, grandchildren Phillip and Jelissa (Smith) Boyd, Kevin and Lizz (Boyd) Sternal, and a great grandchild Samantha Sternal uncles Dean Monk in TX and Walter Monk in Shelburn, cousins Karen Page Perkins, Shelby (Page) Keller, both of Terre Haute, and Debbie of Ft. Myers Fl. 

Services for Doris will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday August 10, 2019 at Holmes Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will be in Sullivan Center Ridge Cemetery.
