Earl Osburn

Earl Osburn, 92, of Shelburn passed away on June 5, 2019 at Terre Haute Regional Hospital. He was born on June 17, 1926 in Sullivan County to Chancy Osburn and Winnie (Hayhurst) Osburn. He was a 1943 graduate of Sullivan High school, was a Navy Veteran, a purple heart recipient and was a farmer. Earl had been a member of the Sullivan Elks, a member of the 1st Christian Church of Shelburn, and a member of the Shelburn Masonic Lodge. He was preceded in death by his wife Roberta "Bertie" Osburn in 2015.

Survivors include his sons Kenneth (Jan) Osburn, Keith (Karen) Osburn, grandchildren Erik (Susan) Osburn, Kristen Osburn, Garth (Emily), Finn Osburn, great-grandchildren Ezra and Duncan Osburn.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday June 10, 2019 at Holmes Memorial Chapel with Rev. Barney LaFollette officiating. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2-6:00 p.m. Burial will be at Center Ridge Cemetery.
