Gwendoline L Higgins

Gwendoline L. Higgins, 94, of Terre Haute passed away on April 18, 2019 at her residence with her loving husband by her side. She was born on March 22, 1925 in London England, to Frank and Daisy Alice (Wilkinson) Jones. Gwen was a 1941 graduate of Lancasterian in Tottenham London. She joined the Royal Air force in 1942 and was part of the Air Craft Women. She married the love her life on June 20, 1945 in Tottenham London to Howard Higgins. She was a volunteer at Union Hospital Service League for over 19 years and a member of Memorial United Methodist Church. Preceding her in death are her parents, a son Lawrence Higgins who preceded in 2002, a brother Frank Jones, a sister Daisy Hiscoke.

Surviving is her husband of 73 years, Howard Higgins, a son David Higgins of Rockville, four grandchildren Jeff, Jessica, Ryan and Mary Higgins and two great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

She retired from CBS Record Sales.

Private services will be held for the family at the grave side. Burial will take place at Rose Lawn Cemetery. Services have been entrusted to Holmes Memorial Chapel.
