Norma Burns, 90, of Sullivan, passed away on Monday July 29, 2019 at Breckenridge Nursing Home. She was born in Sullivan County on November 9, 1928 to Clifford Ty Gray and Charlotte (Smith) Gray, Rusk. She was a 1946 graduate of Merom High School, and was a homemaker, belonged to the Merom United Methodist Church and was an Artist. Preceding her in death are her husband Thomas Burns, a brother Robert Lowell Gray, sisters Barbara Bogard, Janet Daugherty, daughter in-law Billie Burns, son in-law Robert Smith, and grandchildren, Steven Burns II, Stephanie Stonerock and great granddaughter Kasandra Smith.
Survivors include her son Steve Burns of Merom, daughters Linda Smith of Sullivan, Lisa Lisowski of WI, a sister Martha McCammon of Sullivan, four grandchildren, Five great grandchildren.
Grave side services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday July 31, 2019 at Merom Cemetery, with Rev Erick Blevins officiating. Services have been entrusted to Holmes Memorial Chapel.
