Norman E. Morris, 87, of Sullivan passed away on October 29, 2019 at his home. He was born in Sullivan on October 29, 1932 to William Morris and Goldie (Brickey) Morris. Norman was a 1950 graduate from Sullivan High School, was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War and was a maintenance supervisor for South West Sullivan County School Corporation for 52 years. He was a member of the Word of Life Church and the Sullivan American Legion. Norman was a Boy Scout Leader starting in 1968, and continued his commitment to this organization until his death. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, William Lloyd Morris, and sisters, Alfreda Buckthal, Alberta Horst.
Survivors include his son, William Doug Morris, of Cape Coral FL, a daughter Jane Ann DeBona of Greenwood, grandchildren, Andrew DeBona, Christopher DeBona, Michael DeBona, Nicole DeBona, and other relatives and friends.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday October 31, 2019 at Holmes Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jeff Canfield officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will be at Center Ridge Cemetery. The family suggest that in lieu of flowers may be made to the Boy Scouts of America, 501 S 25th St. Terre Haute IN 47803.
