Rose Snapp Obituary

Rose Ann (Pirtle) Snapp, 68, of Sullivan passed away on Wednesday May 8, 2019 at Terre Haute Regional Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was born on September 22, 1950 in Sullivan County to William Bill Pirtle and Jennie Rae (Taylor) Pirtle - Hamblin. Rose was a 1968 graduate of Sullivan High School, a member of the Emmanuel Evangelical Methodist Church, the first Christian Church, Psi Iota XI, Wounded Warriors, WWII Memorial, and the Sullivan American Legion Aux. Rose enjoyed decorating her home, gardening, her flowers but most important to her was her family. Preceding her in death are her parents, and a daughter Janalyn Snapp Lubbenhusen.

Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Perry Snapp whom she married on January 15, 1971; a son Lt. Col. J.P. Snapp and his wife Leslie, a daughter Leah Snapp Shaul and her husband Andrew, a sister Shirley (Rodger) Gambill, grandchildren, Maddison (Parker) Lubbehusen Lamm, Drew Lubbehusen, Ceciley Rose Hyde, Lane Snapp, Harley Rose Snapp, John Caden Snapp, Ava Rae Snapp, several nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family.

Services for Rose will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday May 15, 2019 at the First Christian Church with Rev. Mark Bailey officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday at the Church from 4-8:00 p.m. Burial will be at Center Ridge Cemetery. Holmes Memorial Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
