Roy Riggs

Roy Riggs, 73, of Hymera passed away on Monday December 30, 2019 at Millers Merry Mannor in Sullivan. He was born in Sullivan county on September 6, 1946 to Charles R Riggs and Margaret (Frisbie) Riggs. Roy was a 1964 graduate of Sullivan High School, was a Navy Veteran and retired from Pfizer. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #86, Scottish Rite Valley of Terre Haute MSA, York Rite of Terre Haute, Yeomon of York Rite, Hymera Eastern Star 289, amd the Sullivan American Legion 139. Preceding him in death are his parents, a son Keith Thomas Riggs, a daughter Amy Farmer, a twin sister Brenda Riggs Grass and a niece Nancy Grass. 

Survivors include his wife of 52 years Connie (King) Riggs, whom he married on October 21, 1967, a son Todd (Jenny) Riggs of Robinson IL, sisters Judy (Larry) Bond, Margie (Mike) Duggan of Sullivan, grandchildren Brenda Swearingen, Keith Allen Riggs, Hannah Riggs, Rachel Riggs, Andrea (Keven) Bentley, great grandchildren, Amanda Swearingen, Maddison Roseberry, Maddox Bentley

Services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday January 2, 2020 at Holmes Memorial Chapel with Rev. Ron Riggs officiating. Visitation will be from 4-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Burial will be at K of P Cemetery. Military Rites will be given by the Hymera, Shelburn, and Sullivan American Legion’s and the Sullivan VFW. Masonic services will be on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.
