Virginia Parsons Obituary

Virginia Parsons, 86, of Sullivan, passed away on Saturday April 27, 2019 at Millers Merry Manor in Sullivan. She was born on May 22, 1932 to Ben and Ruth (Knotts) Blice. She was a 1949 graduate of Carlisle High School, member of the Sullivan First Baptist Church for over 60 years, was a seamstress, enjoyed flowers, and playing cards every Wednesday afternoon. Preceding her in death are her husband Roy "Moe" Parsons whom she was married to for 61 years, and a sister Carolyn Porter.

Survivors include her daughters, Rhonda Ford of Sullivan and special friend Bob Foutch, Rita Smith and her husband Mike of Sullivan, Annette McCammon and her husband Todd of Huston Tx, brothers Jim (Carole) Blice, Jerry (Martha) Blice, sister Wanda (Jim) Bennett, 5 grandchildren, Brad (Stephanie) Sater, Andrea (Andy) Miller, Craig (Maria) Ford, Ken (Kelly) Ford, Taylor (Matthew) Whaley, great-grandchildren, Sheridan Sater, Hayden Sater, Jocelyn Ford, Sadie Ford, Henry Ford, Elle Ford, Drew Miller, Emma Miller, and Larkin Whaley.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday April 30, 2019 at Holmes Memorial Chapel with Pastor Bret Cox officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will be at Mt. Tabor Cemetery. The family suggest that if friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made to the First baptist church, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
