William Schofield Obituary

William E. "Bill" Schofield, 82, of Shelburn passed away peacefully at home on March 18, 2019 with his family by his side. He was born, October 22, 1936 in Albion, IL to the late Ellis and Ada (Penner) Schofield.

Bill is survived by his loving wife Frances (Hedge) Schofield of 60 years, children Tina (Brad) Cagle, Lisa (Jeff) Akers, Toni (Duane) Moore, Billie (Cobe) Higginbottom, William "Bill" (Subrina) Schofield Jr and sister Thellis Canale, 15 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 4 great great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers Hubert, Jimmy and a sister Flossie.

Bill was proud military veteran. He served in the United States Air Force during the post Korean War from 1954 to 1958 where he spent 3 years in France as a Military Air Police Officer. He worked for the family owned business, Schofield Timber, for many years. He loved his family, friends, fishing, gardening and playing cards. He was a member of the Well of Life Pentecostal Church, Shelburn, IN.

Services are entrusted to Holmes Memorial Chapel, Sullivan IN. Visitation will be Thursday March 21, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with Funeral Services beginning at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Shad Akers officiating. Burial will be at Little Flock Cemetery, Shelburn IN.
