Marilyn Bledsoe

Marilyn Irene Bledsoe, 76, of Shelburn, passed away on Saturday June 6, 2020 at her residence with her family by her side. She was born in Terre Haute on June 15, 1943 to James J Sharpe and Rosemary Waterman Sharpe.  She was a 1961 graduate of Hymera High school and a graduate of Indiana State University where she received her master’s in Education.  She was a teacher for 38 years at the North East School Corporation.  She was a member of the Hymera Ruritan Club, and the Illiana Ruritan Club. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister in-law Linda Sharpe.

Survivors include her husband Jerry, a son James (Kristie) Bledsoe, a brother James Sharpe, a sisters Jane (Floyd) Lee, Carol (Larry) Stubbs, brother and sister in-law Danny (Joyce) Bledsoe, grandchildren Peyton Bledsoe, Mason Bledsoe, Keira Bledsoe, Eli Bledsoe,  nieces and nephews Jeff Lee,  Laura (Mark) Weaver, Chris (Michelle) Lee, Matt (Kelli) Lee, Ian Sharpe, Leah (Andy) Williams, Leslie (JR) Altepeter, Joanna (Brent) Vaught.

Service's will be at 3 p.m. on Tuesday  June 9, 2020 at Holmes Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jeff Lee officiating.  Visitation will be on Tuesday from 12 noon until the time of services.  Burial will be at K of P Cemetery. The family suggest that if friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Hymera Ruritan club.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
