Mezmariah Wilson

Mezmariah “Mezzy” Wilson, 15, of Shelburn, passed away unexpectedly on June 10, 2021.  She was born on August 1, 2005 in Terre Haute, Indiana to Mandy Wilson and Larry Benford.  Mezzy had just completed her sophomore year at South Vigo High School. She attended Shelburn Elementary School until moving to Terre Haute during her eighth grade, where she attended Sarah Scott Jr. High.  While at Shelburn Elementary School Mezzy enjoyed being a cheerleader.  She was a youth leader at the Abundant Grace House of Prayer Church in Sullivan, she loved to listen to music and hang out with her many friends.  Mezzy’s smile could light up a room and was loved by many. As tragic as this is, Mezzy would want everyone to celebrate her life.

Mezzy is survived by her parents, bonus father Rowdy Stuck, grandparents; Lummie and Teresa Wilson, and Connie Mellinger Higgins, sisters; Russellah, Luminitah, Peaticee, Danielle, and Tami, brothers; Larry, Lorenzo, and Isaiah Benford, uncles; Virgil, JC, and Lummie Wilson, aunts; Carrie, Heather, and Nikki.

Services will be at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, June 28, 2021 at Abundant Grace House of Pray with Pastor Tommy Pearson officiating.  Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until time of service.  Holmes Memorial Chapel assisted the family with arrangements.
