Russell Knight

Russell L. Knight, 93, of Hymera, passed away on January 16, 2020 in Miller’s Merry Manor at 1:20 p.m. He was born January 17, 1926 in Sullivan County to James and Katie Eads Knight. He was owner and operator of Knight Trucking Company.  He was preceded in death by his wife Marjorie Custer Knight; his parents; three brothers; and two sisters.

Survivors include: one son: James Knight (Rita); two grandchildren, Renee (Andy) Pool and David (Cheryl) Knight; five great-grandchildren; Chrissie (Josh) Willis, Brittany Knight, Matthew Knight, Deven Pool, Dylan Pool, and two great great-grandchildren, Alexis Willis, Levi Willis, several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Services will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. at Holmes Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of service.  Internment will be in the K of P Cemetery, Hymera.
