Barbara (Moses) Skinner

Barbara Moses Skinner, 90, of Shelburn, Indiana passed peacefully into eternal rest on Sunday, April 6, 2025 at Serenity Springs Senior Living. She was born on January 2,1935 in Shelburn, to William and Mary Moses.  She was a 1953 graduate of Shelburn High School. Barbara married her high school sweetheart, Jack Skinner right after graduation. They spent 56 years together loving life and raising their 6 children.

Barbara enjoyed gardening and spending time in her yard working with her flowers.  She cherished her children and grandchildren, family was the delight of her life.

Those preceding her are her parents, her husband, John E. “Jack” Skinner; daughters, Sherrie Skinner and Linda Flowers; granddaughter, Stephanie Skinner along with sisters, Ruth Ralston and Phyllis Dibble.

Those here to cherish her memory are her children, Carol Harmon (Wally), Jackie Chambers ( Edward), John Skinner (Dana) and Ted Skinner (Barb); sister, Kay Schadler, her son in-law, Stanley, along with several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

There will be no services, at Barbara's request. Holmes Memorial Chapel and staff were honored to assist the family with arrangements.
