Shelburn,
Betty J (Mitchell) Netherlain, 88, of Shelburn went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday July 15, 2014 at Sullivan County Community Hospital. She was born on January 28, 1926 in McLeansboro IL. She was preceded in death by her husband Dalford David, her parents and sister and brother and son Jerry.
Survivors include four children Tom, Mary Lou (Keith) Quick, Sharon Abner, and LoAnn (Bobby) Trowbridge and eleven grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren, and seven great- great-grandchildren. "Grandma Betty" loved God, watching her grandchildren in 4-H, sports, and many other activities. She retired from Columbia Records and also from Pfizers which has earned her many beloved friends. She loved going annually to the pre-Derby Race with Turner Coaches and friends.
She was a member of Fairbanks Missionary Baptist Church, Comfort Quilters of Fairbanks, Wabash Valley Sewing Connection, and Ebenezer Hand Quilters.
Services for Betty will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 18, 2014 at Holmes Memorial Chapel in Sullivan with Rev. Don Ransford, Pastor James Quick, and Pastor Larry Gilaspy officiating. Visitation will be on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of Services. Burial will be in Little Flock Cemetery in Shelburn. The family requests that friends bring a written favorite memory of Betty to Holmes Memorial Chapel
