Bill Deakins

Bill Deakins, 79, of Fairbanks passed away in Terre Haute Regional Hospital on Saturday, March 14, 2015. Bill was born November 12, 1935 in Shelburn to William Henry Deakins and Cleo Mae Rilenge Howard. He is survived by his wife Dorothy Kramer Deakins, a daughter Dee Anna Deakins of Terre Haute, sons Bill (Cathy) Deakins of Farmersburg and Jeff Deakins of Sullivan, grandchildren Chervon (James) Clough, Brandon (Ashley) Deakins, Billie J. Deakins, Justin ( Nastasha) Shroyer, Cameron (Amanda) Deakins, Desiree Deakins, Briana Deakins, step-grandchildren Craig and Tracey Hensley, eleven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents, a sister Sue Honchell, and a brother Jerry Deakins, and step-father Pete Howard. Bill worked for Culligan Fire Protection for over 25 years, and was a member of Sprinkler Fitter Union Local 669. He was a 1954 graduate of Shelburn High School. Visitation for Bill will be Wednesday, March 18, 2015 from 11:00 until time of service at 1:00pm with Rev. David Lowe officiating. Interment will follow in Little Flock Cemetery in Shelburn. Holmes Memorial Chapel was entrusted with arrangements.
