Survivors include his four children, Jaime "Fuzz" Lisman (Jeanna), Kathy Matlock (Gene), John Lisman (Denise), and David Lisman (Jes). His grandchildren, Kristina Burns, John David Lisman, Jenna Lisman, James Lisman. Also Andrea Spires, Ryan Kinnet, Dravin Scott, Alexis Hampton, and Brianna Hampton. Bill was born and raised in Sullivan County, and considered it "Gods" Country. He graduated from New Lebanon High School in 1949. Bill served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Bill was a farmer his entire life and worked for many years for the Farm Bureau Co-op. In 1981 Bill was injured in a disabling work related accident.
Bill enjoyed a good baseball game, horse racing, and draft horse sales. He was a man of simple pleasures, a home cooked meal, a country drive, or quiet times with his family.
Bill was an example to all who knew him of how to live a good life. His strength, work ethic, and kind and caring nature defined him.
He will be greatly missed by his family, but we take comfort in the certain knowledge that he is with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and reunited with his beloved wife Rhonda.
The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Matt Dupre, Dr. A.J. Deshpande, the entire staff at Miller's Merry Manor, from the administrators, nurses, aides, dining, house cleaning, laundry, and maintenance, and to Kindred Hospice. Your care, kindness, and compassion made a difference in Dad's life.
