Billy Townsend

William "Billy R. Townsend 58, of Carmel IN, passed away on December 28, at St. Vincent Hospice Unit in Indianapolis. He was born in Los Angeles County Ca, on March 28, 1960, the son of Ray Townsend and Kathleen Barden Townsend. He was 1978 graduate of Sullivan High School and a 1983 graduate of Indiana University. Billy worked several Years with the Pacer organization, in Indianapolis and with UNLV at Thomas Mack Arena in Las Vegas and with the Arena Football League in Indianapolis. He was preceded in death by his wife Denise December of 2016.

Survivors include his sister Maureen Kirk of Dayton OH, aunt and uncle Shirley and Lee Townsend of Sullivan, niece Rachel Kirk, nephew Joshua Kirk, and several cousins.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m. on January 3, 2019 at Holmes Memorial Chapal with Pastor Bret Cox officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00a.m. until the time of services. Burial will be at Center Ridge Cemetery.

The family suggest that if friends so desire donation may be made to Sullivan High School Athletic Booster Club, envelopes will be avialable at the funeral home
