Brenda Benson

Brenda Sue Benson, 69, of Terre Haute formerly of Shelburn passed away on Tuesday May 29, 2018 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute. She was born in Sullivan on July 22, 1948 to William and Glenn (Taft) Benson. Brenda was a 1967 graduate of Sullivan High School, a 1970 graduate from Indiana Business College in Indianapolis, and had been employed at the Vocational Rehab Services. She had attended the State Street Church of Christ, was an avid reader and had a special love for her two cats. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.

Survivors include her sister Patty (Perry) Sluder of Shelburn, nephew Josh (Carlee) Sluder of Terre Haute, Aunt Leona and Uncle Gale Taft of Boonville, Uncle Earl Taft of Indianapolis and several cousins. Special caregiver Brittnie Barker of Community Connections.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday June 1, 2018 at Holmes Memorial Chapel with Rev. David Cox officiating. Visitation will be on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will be at Liberty Cemetery.
