Bruce E. McKinley, 66, of Merom, passed away on Monday July 6, 2015 at Millers Merry Manor. He was born in Sullivan County on October 28, 1948 to Homer and Florence Kerns McKinley. Bruce was a 1966 graduate of New Lebanon High School a Melon Farmer in Merom most all of his life. He was a Vietnam Veteran having served in the US Army, the Black Horse Battalion and a member of the Sullivan VFW. Preceding him in death are his parents.

Survivors include his daughter Shannon McKinley and her husband Joe Stantz of Carlisle, six grandchildren Garrett Parr, Kalee Lewis, Joseph Goble, Matthew Grimes, Shyanne Lyday, Autumn Brown, and two great grandchildren.

Services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday July 9, 2015 at Holmes Memorial Chapel with Rev Dick Smith Officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4- 8:00 p.m. Military services will be given by the Hymera, Shelburn and Sullivan American Legions and the Sullivan VFW. Burial will take place at Merom Cemetery.
