Bruce Wayne Thompson

Bruce Wayne Thompson, 72, of Sullivan passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2014. He was born on July 22, 1941, in Riverton, IN to Hugh "Babe" and Emma Irene Thompson. Bruce attended Merom High School and was an Operator for the Operating Engineers Local 841and was an avid coon hunter having belonged to the Sullivan County Coon Hunters Association and a member of the Merom Assembly of God. Preceding him in death are his parents, his first wife Nancy L Monroe Thompson, a son Bob Thompson, and a grandson Casey Lee Drake.

Survivors include his wife Sandy Hiatt Thompson of Sullivan, a daughter Angie Wilson and her husband Larry of Sullivan, a daughter in-law Marla Thompson, two brothers Robert Allen (Nancy K) Thompson of Sebring FL, David Dean (Jane) Thompson of Merom, three sisters Darlene (Dean) McKinney of Sullivan, Carolyn(Jimmy Dean) Daugherty of Lakeland FL, Myra Kay of Merom, three grandchildren Cody Drake, Josh Thompson, Ashlee DeMeyer, four great grandchildren Jayce Drake, Ava Drake, Makynzie Jo Drake and Ella Cayse Drake.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday March 4, 2014 at Holmes Memorial Chapel with Rev. Ron Riggs Officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00a.m. until the time of services. Burial will be in Merom Cemetery.
