Carl Freeman Huff, 90, of Graysville, was warmly welcomed into the open arms of Jesus, on Saturday, August 15, 2026, in the comfort of his home. He was surrounded by those he cherished, as he made his triumphant entry into "Glory Land”. He began his journey in this life on October 9,1935, in Graysville, Indiana. The only child of, James and Pauline (Murphy) Huff.

Carl was a graduate of Graysville High School class of 1953. He went on to proudly serve his country in the Indiana National Guard. He was a long time member of Emmanuel Evangelical Methodist Church. Carl was a part of the Pfizer family, for 40 dedicated years. His Pfizer family nicknamed him Tarzan, due to his astounding physical strength.

On January 18,1955 he married his loving wife of 71 years, Jane Snapp.

Raising his 3 children was the pinnacle of his life. He had a thirst for adventure and sense of humor that he willingly shared with his wife, and family. He left lifetime memories that will forever bring a smile to each of their hearts.

The family vacations are always recalled and remembered fondly. He was lovingly referred to as “The Chevy Chase Dad”. National Lampoon's Family Vacation movie was nothing new to them. The trips out west, his homemade tent, the humor and most important the deep love and dedication he held for his family. He loved watching his daily “Western's, Gun Smoke and Rifleman”. His deep devotion to his Lord and Savior was always his guide and his life was lived as such. Leaving his children with a strong faith and well lit path to follow.

He enjoyed scuba diving for muscles in the Wabash river and, adventuring in his hovercraft. He was extremely proud to be promoted to the name, Papaw, he adored his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Those here to cherish his memory are, his loving wife, Jane Huff; daughters, Debbra Hayes (Butch) and Dianna Kutch (Joe); son, Brian Randall Huff (Kyla); grandchildren, Melissa Sanford, Matthew Hayes (Ashley), Crystal Schaar (Scott), Ashley Trench (Mark), Shawn Weil, Austin Kutch (Katie), and Brayden Kutch, Amber Huff, Chad Huff (Marci) Along with several niece’s, nephew’s, extended family and friend’s.

A celebration of a life so very well lived, will be held on Wednesday, August 19,2026 at Wabash Valley Community Church. Visitation will be from 11:00 am. until time of service at 1:00 pm.

Pastor Mark Bailey and Pastor Matthew Hayes will be officiating, with burial following at Johnson Cemetery, Graysville. IN. Holmes Memorial Chapel and staff were honored to assist the family with arrangements.
