Carol Jean Cooley, 73, of Sullivan passed away on Tuesday March 31, 2015 at her residence with her family and her dear friend Marty by her side. She was born in Chicago IL on August 4, 1941 to Jesse and Dortha (Alkire) Prohaska. Carol was a homemaker, had worked in retail sales and was a member of the First Christian Church.
She is survived by her husband Gayel Cooley, daughters Cathy (Jerry) Hinkley of OH, Lorie (Michael) Clouse of Terre Haute, Mary Gosser of Danville IL and step children Gail Diane Cooley of WA, Kasey Cooley of Niceville FL, Chris Cooley, Wayne (Cindy) Sullivan, Raemie (James) Maak of Sullivan, a brother Rodney (Patty) Bostian of Tuscon AZ, a sister Dorothy Shannon of St Bernice, a very dear niece Gloria (Don) Mahoney of St. Bernice and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Services for Carol will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday April 6, 2015 at Holmes Memorial Chapel with Rev. Dale Wise officiating. Visitation will be on Monday from 11 until the time of services. Burial will be in Center Ridge Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at
