Sullivan,
Chad Alan Pirtle, 51 of Sullivan, passed on to his Heavenly hunting grounds on Saturday September 14, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Chad began his life journey on January 23,1973 as the first born son of Bill and Rosetta Mason Pirtle. He was a graduate of Sullivan High School Class of 1991. After graduation he went on to become an outstanding “journeyman iron worker” with Local #22, formerly # 439. He was a dedicated employee for many years with Sterling Boiler. His career in construction took him on a journey all over the United States on various projects.
Chad was a hard worker, he was gifted with the ability to do any task set before him and do it well. As a true “Pioneer” at heart, he avidly enjoyed the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, trapping, mushroom, shed, deer and golf ball hunting to name a few. He always had one of his children with him to share his love of outdoor life. He especially enjoyed cruising in the country with his loved ones and listening to “A Country Boy Can Survive”.
He was a cherished member of a large extended family and his big heart loved each and everyone without boundaries. His children and grandchildren were his life. His love for his family was immeasurable. His bond with his Momma was a special Mother-Son relationship. His cousins were siblings to him. To his niece and nephew he was that "special uncle". He was part of an unbreakable family bond that was woven into the fabric of his soul.
Chad was also a great storyteller and jokester that his family will cherish and miss. His kind and gentle spirit was evident with his presence.
Those awaiting his arrival with open arms were, his grandparents, J.B. and Porky Pirtle, Bill and Betty Mason along with uncles, Bobby and Raymond Pirtle, Paul Walters and Patrick Hines ; aunts, Gloria Jean Cooper, Marilyn (Roger) Hollifield and Jo (Clem) McCammon along with cousins, Johnny Paul Akers and Kyle Arnett.
Surviving are his parents, Bill and Rosette Pirtle, a son, Richy Pirtle, daughters, Morgan Pirtle, Jacquelyn Pirtle and Madelyn Pirtle; brothers, Troy (Jennifer) Pirtle and Mike Pirtle; grandchildren, Layla, Gunner, Rebel Jax, Zendaya, Delilha, Bella, Brooklynn, Baby Pirtle, Maverick and Blakely; niece, Abbie Pirtle; nephew, Hunter Pirtle; aunts and uncles, Ann Walters, John Pirtle, Mary Collins, Jimmy Pirtle, Sandy Arnett, Brenda Miller, Peggy Hines and Rocky Mason; special friend, Monti Beverly, along with many other family members and close friends.
Those who wish, may pay respects on Friday, September 20, 2024 at Holmes Memorial Chapel, with visitation from 11:00 am. until the time of service beginning at 1:00 pm. With Pastors, Raji Hollifield and Jason Jones officiating, Burial will follow at Center Ridge Cemetery.
