Charles Lynn Ivy, 89, of Farmersburg, passed away on Thursday February 6, 2025 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Pontotoc Mississippi on October 22, 1935 to Herman Ivy and Ozell Mcknight Ivy.
Lynn was a devoted man of Christ, having served the congregation at the Hymera First Baptist Church. He was a great musician and loved sharing the words and gospel of Jesus. He was a carpenter by trade, having built many churches and homes.
Preceded in death are his parents, a son Mark Ivy, and a sister Doris Harwick.
Survivors are his wife Susan Wenman Ivy whom he married on March 18, 2006, sons Phillip (Brenda) Ivy, Lyndale Ivy, step sons Carlton (Sheryl) Pinkston, Dan (Cathe) Pinkston, step daughters Sherilynn (Dan) Mahan, Sarah (James) Forbes, 13 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild as well as nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 12 noon on Monday February 10, 2025 at the Hymera First Baptist church with Pastor Norman Santus officiating. Visitation will be on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will be at Sugar Grove Cemetery.
