Charles "Charlie" Noble

Charles “Charlie” Noble 84, of Carlisle passed peacefully into eternal rest at St. Vincent Hospital of Evansville, on Saturday, September 27, 2024 with his loving family at his side.Charlie was born on April 1, 1940 to Charlie Noble and Grace Foutch Burns. He was a 1958 graduate of Pleasantville High School. Following graduation, he joined the US Navy and with pride he  proudly served his country.

On January 18, 1965 he married the love of his life, Gwen Wright. They shared 59 years of loving life and side by side raised their children and watched their family grow. He was a retiree of J.I. Case and General Electric after many years of devoted service. Charlie was a hard working man who believed in taking care of his family with competence and integrity. He was a deeply devoted and loving family man, his family were his most treasured accomplishment.  He enjoyed nothing more than making everlasting memories and sharing life with them. He was a 50 year member of Carlisle Masonic Lodge # 3, and also enjoyed watching tv, especially racing.

Those gone before him are his parents, a daughter, Candy Noble Edwards and great - grandson, Jackson Ellis Noble.

Family, with whom the imprint he left in their hearts are his wife, Gwen Noble; son, Charles Richard Noble (Sandy); grandchildren, Zachary Taylor Noble and Kylie Dannielle Noble (Mikey Fredrick) ; great-grandchildren, Shane Michael Hartley and Elliott Wayne Hartley; sisters, Evelyn Beals (Gary) and Janice Reynolds (Jim) along with a special friend, Jami Zimmerman.

Graveside services will be on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Odd Fellows Cemetery.

Holmes Memorial Chapel and staff were honored to assist the family with arrangements.
