Charles Walls

Charles Walls, 78, of Sullivan passed away on Friday August 26, 2016 at Sullivan County Community Hospital. Charles was born in Dugger on September 17, 1937 to Quincy L Walls and Glethel Marie Phegley Walls. He was a 1955 graduate of Dugger High School, a member of the First Christian Church, Sons of the American Legion 139, Eagles 291, Sullivan Masonic Lodge 263, Sullivan Democrat Club, Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 188 and retired from Alcan in Terre Haute. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers Quincy "Vern" Walls and Robert Walls.

Survivors include his wife of 25 years Jane Setzer Walls whom he married on January 12, 1991, two daughters Mary Beth (Bruce) Heckert of Palmerton PA, Sally (Matt) Phegley of Easton PA, two step daughters Jennifer (Darron) McCrary, JoAnne (Jeff) Wixted both of Sullivan, a brother Monte (Debbie) Walls of Terre Haute, eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday August 31, 2016 at Holmes Memorial Chapel with Rev David Cox Officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4-8:00 p.m. at the funeral Home. Masonic services will begin at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be at Center Ridge Cemetery where he enjoyed working.
