Chester "Chet" Anthony Woroszylo

October 17, 1957 — November 9, 2024

Carlisle

Chester “Chet” Anthony Woroszylo. 67 of Carlisle answered the soft sweet call of Jesus to come home, on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at Regional Hospital with his loving family by his side. He was one of 8 children born to Joe and Shirley Hart Woroszylo, who entered this life October 17, 1957 in Rensselaer Indiana.

Chet was a devoted loving, giving, family man, who instilled the value of family, love, devotion, sacrifice and hard work in his children. He married his third grade sweetheart, Kimberly Horton who was the love of his life, on May 12, 1979. Together they loved and cherished 4 children. Their love and devotion was a model for Andrew, Anthoney, Heather and Tiffany to cherish.

He was always there to lend a helping hand, he was a volunteer firefighter for Haddon Township and Carlisle Ambulance service for 20 years. In his career he held the position of fire chief at Wabash Valley Correctional Facility and was employed at Pioneer Oil at the time of his retirement.

Chet enjoyed fishing, gardening, his dogs and life itself. He was a prankster who enjoyed nothing more than tormenting his grandchildren, pulling pranks on his loved ones and popping up and scaring you to make you jump. The better the jump the harder his laugh. He was a remarkable dad, papaw and husband. There was nothing he would not do for his family. His passing leaves a huge void in their family circle.

He is preceded by his parents; siblings, Bill Doring, Lou Doring and Rodney Westers along with a niece, Shelby Horton and nephew, Connor Rodriguez.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Kim Woroszylo; children, Chester Anthoney Woroszylo Jr. (Jessica), Charles Andrew Woroszylo (Samantha), Heather Woroszylo Coffman (Joe) and Tiffany Woroszylo (Gary White); siblings, Joe Woroszylo (Carol), Stanley Woroszylo, Shirley James and Margie Woroszylo; 13 grand children and 9 great-grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews, friends and extended family.

Services will be Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at Holmes Memorial Chapel with visitation from 11:00 am until time of service at 1:00 pm with Pastor Shawn Farris officiating. Burial will follow at Providence Cemetery in Paxton Indiana. Military honors will be given by the the Sullivan County Honor Guard.
