Cloral R. Unger, 87, of Sullivan passed away on Sunday November 20, 2016 in Sebring FL. He was born in Carlisle IN on September 15, 1929 to Frank and Ethel (McComas) Unger. Cloral was a 1947 graduate of New Lebanon High School, was a Logger, Melon Farmer and heavy equipment operator for Local 841. Cloral was a member of the Masonic Lodge #3 in Carlisle, the Scottish Rite Valley of Terre Haute, the Carlisle Odd Fellows Lodge, and the American Legion. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Lena Irene (Shipp) Unger 2008, son James Duane Unger, brother James Frank, sister, Helen Unger Gleason (Jeff), brother John Unger (Mary Jane), sister-in-law LaDonna Unger, and son-in-law William Terry Pless Jr.
Surviving members include his son Randy Unger of Sullivan, daughters, Beth Phegley (David) of Merom, Lisa Pless of Carlisle and Rose Doty (John) of Sullivan, Grandchildren include grandsons Thad Sullivan of Linton, Eli Emmons (Kelsey) of Carlisle, & Andy Doty of Portland Oregon, granddaughters Cortney Copeland (Ryan) of Farmersburg and Shae Doty of Portland Oregon, Great-Grandchildren include great-grandsons Layne Emmons and Kyson Emmons of Carlisle, and Great-granddaughter Lena Copeland of Farmersburg, Brother Clifford Unger (Linda) of Sullivan and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 1:00p.m. on Saturday November 26, 2016 at the Holmes Memorial Chapel with Revs. Eddie Hammond and Wayne Unger officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00a.m. until the time of services. Masonic services will begin at 1:00p.m. The family suggest that if friends so desire memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association. Envelopes will be available at the Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Merom Cemetery at a later date.
