Dana "Robin" Russell

Dana Robinette “Robin” Russell, 75, of Sullivan, passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Born on September 2, 1950, in Fairfield, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Phyllis and Winston Montgomery. She was happily married for many years to Richard Russell and lost him to COPD in early 2009. She then married the love of her life, Stephen Tucker, for 11 wonderful years.

Robin was a graduate of Fairfield High School and earned a degree from Ivy Tech, Evansville Campus. She served as a dedicated Executive Secretary for The Mental Health Center in Evansville for many years. A member of the Sullivan Christian Church and a longtime volunteer with the Sullivan County Historical Society, Robin was known for her happy-go-lucky personality and lovely smile. She was a voracious reader and a gifted speed reader who loved being swept away by a good story. While she preferred grilling out or dining out over spending time in the kitchen, she truly enjoyed sharing life and laughter with those around her.

Her family brought her immeasurable joy. She was a supportive wife, mother, and grandmother who took deep pride in her loved ones. Raising her son, Noah, was the most fulfilling part of her life, and she took great delight in her "bonus" children.

Robin was preceded in death by her parents and step father, along with her first husband, Richard Russell.

Those here to cherish her memory are her adoring husband, Stephen Tucker, her son, Noah McConnaughhay and wife, Nellie; her bonus children, Stephen John Tucker (Pamela), Jimi Tucker (Regina), Ken Tucker (Marsha), Sharon Tucker, Donna Lupori-Chojnacki (Steve), Bradley Russell (Sommer) and A.J. Jackson. Her siblings, Richard Montgomery, Leslie Montgomery, and Kevin McConnaughhay, also her adored grandchildren, R.J., Ember, Russell, Emily and Kaylee, Ryan Lupori, Cooper Russell, Aubreann Russell and Brooklyn Russell along with her dearest friends, Sheryl Hartman and Jo Stringfellow. Serveral neices, nephews, friends and family.

Services to celebrate Robin’s life will be held on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at Holmes Memorial Chapel. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. and continue until the time of service at 4:00 p.m. Pastor Lyle Parker will officiate.
