Darin Wilson, beloved son, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on July 13, 2026. Born on September 21, 1980, in Sullivan, Darin’s life was a testament to his unwavering commitment to family, his strong work ethic, and his genuine connection with all who knew him.

Darin’s professional journey spanned several decades, including dedicated service with the Railroad Works and a 15-year tenure at South West Auto. He was recognized by colleagues and friends alike for his reliability, skill, and steadfastness, traits that marked every aspect of his career.

A family man at heart, Darin cherished the roles of father, grandfather, and son above all else. Nothing brought him more joy than time spent with his daughters, Brily and Emily Wilson, and his grandchild, Mavis Wilson. His devotion to his loved ones was steadfast, rooted deeply in the values instilled by his parents.

Darin is survived by his loving father, Walter Wilson Jr., his daughters, Brily and Emily Wilson, his grandchild, Mavis Wilson, as well as his step-mother, Penny Wilson. He also leaves behind his step-brother, Charlie Bob Cunningham, his step-sister, Renee Goldsburry, companion Kristie Moore, and mother of his two children BryAnn Wilson, all of whom were dear to him. Darin’s mother, Sandra Sue Zellars Wilson, and his brother, Travis J. Wilson, preceded him in death, their memory forever cherished by all who loved them.

Beyond his family and work, Darin’s life was enriched by a deep appreciation for the outdoors. He could often be found fishing, trapping, or coon hunting—pursuits that brought him peace and allowed him to share meaningful moments with friends and family. These hobbies spoke to a lifelong love of nature and a respect for tradition.

Darin’s legacy of service extended into the community through his involvement with the Hymera Masonic Lodge #588. He held the distinguished honor of Past Master of Shelburn Lodge #369, where he was admired for his leadership, integrity, and camaraderie.

Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance at Holmes Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be held on July 16, 2026, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. The funeral service will follow on July 16, 2026, at 1:00 pm at Holmes Memorial Chapel. All who knew and cared for Darin are welcome to attend and honor his life.
