Darrell Richard Mellinger

Darrell Richard "Dick" Mellinger, 60, of Farmersburg, passed away on Friday September 2, 2016 at Sullivan County Community Hospital. He was born on August 14, 1956 to Raymond Darrell Mellinger and Carolyn Sue (Smith) Mellinger. Darrell was a laborer having retired in 2008 from Local 204. Darrell loved family, fishing, hunting, playing pool and computers. He was a member of Ebenezer Church. He was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his wife Connie (Higgins) Mellinger, a stepson Virgil Wilson and his companion Daniel Walls of Farmersburg, a stepdaughter Mandy (Rowdy) Stuck of Shelburn, three sisters Kelli (Mike) Lair, Judy Mellinger, Peggy Mellinger, all of Indianapolis and seven grandchildren.

Services to celebrate his life will be held by the family at a later date. Holmes Memorial Chapel has been entrusted will arrangements.
