Rev. Darrell Dewayne Thrasher, age 52, former pastor of The Lighthouse Church of Columbia, passed away Friday, July 8th, 2022, surrounded by loved ones.
A Visitation will be held, July 13th, 2022, from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM at The Lighthouse Church of Columbia, followed by a Homegoing Service July 14th, 2022, at 2:00 PM.
Born on April 26th, 1970, in Newbern, Tennessee, Darrell was the son of the late Rev. Rudy Thrasher and Marshia Thrasher. He worked as a pastor at The Lighthouse Church of Columbia for 24 years. He was a member of the Tennessee Constables Association and was inducted into the Maury County Bridle and Saddle Association Hall of Fame on March 26th, 2022. Darrell married the love of his life, Krysti, on March 18, 1995.Together they raised their son Landon and fur babies Kobi and Kai. He loved to farm, sing, and play music.
He is survived by his wife, Krysti and son, Landon Thrasher, and fiancé (Abby Mangrum), his mother Marshia Ann VanSlyke “Ivy” and stepfather Rev. Willard Dean VanSlyke, his in-laws, Don and Loretta Siscoe, Grandmother Eva Hayes along with his siblings, Rev. Darren Thrasher (Kimberly), Denita Eaton (Curtis), Bryan Thrasher (Channah), Rev. Devon Thrasher (Rachel), Grandmother Eva Hayes, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Rev. Rudy Lee Thrasher, Grandparents Doris and Tom Ivy, Grandfather, Cleo Basel, and his special Grandmother, Dolora Partlow.
