David Macdonald

David MacDonald, 58, of Carlisle passed away on December 13, 2023 at Greenwood Health Care Center in Greenwood IN.  David was born in Vincennes IN on November 15, 1965 to Merit MacDonald and Kathern (Hill) Pirtle. David was a United States Army Veteran having served his country and being Honorably discharged.  He loved to rock hunt, collect antiques, shoot guns, fishing and barbecue for friends and family. He was a big Cowboys fan and enjoyed helping and giving a hand to anyone in need.  He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings Jack Alexander, Kathy Roberts, Danny MacDonald and his dog Zeb.

Those left to cherish his memory are his son Blake Land MacDonald, brothers Doug MacDonald, Donnie MacDonald, sisters Barbara (Brian) Golish, Jamie (Todd) Setzer, Janet Pirtle, Kimmie Hendrickson, Dianna MacDonald, special friend Kerry Meredith, special niece Jodie MacDonald, special nephews Levi Hood, Kain Smith, and his dog Sissy, several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews and many friends and extended family members.

Services to celebrate his life will be 1:00 p.m on Wednesday December 20, 2023 at Holmes Memorial Chapel with Military Honors given by the Sullivan County Honor Guard. Visitation for David will be on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services.  Burial will take place at Odd Fellows Cemetery at a later date.
