Deborah K. Vickers, 70, of Sullivan, passed away on Wednesday December 16, 2020, at her residence.

She was born in Peoria, IL on May 10, 1950 to the late Harold and Betty (Breedlove) Carty.

Deborah graduated from Sullivan High School in 1968 and was a member of St. Mary Church in Sullivan.  She worked in Evansville, IN at the drugstore as a postal clerk.  She also wrote for the newspaper in Carlisle, IN.  She was a local artist who enjoyed writing poetry.  She loved painting back drops for the children’s church musicals.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Vickers and a brother, David Carty.

Deborah is survived by a son Paul (Ellen) Page of Ottawa, IL; a brother, Michael Carty of Huntsville, AL; sisters, Lisa Durlinger of Terre Haute, Rhonda Meurer of Noblesville, IN; five grandchildren, Elizabeth, Isabella, Brieanna, Rebecca and  David.  A great-grandchild, Piper  with a great grandson  on the way.  She is also survived by a former husband, Paul Page.

Burial will be in Timmons Cemetery.  Private family services will be held at a later date.  Holmes Memorial Chapel was entrusted with the arrangements.
