Deborah "Debbie" Wigginton, 64, of Shelburn, Indiana, passed away on December 7, 2023. She was born on July 26, 1959, in Wyandotte, Michigan. She was a 1977 graduate of Taylor High School. Debbie was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Debbie married the love of her life, Richard “Rich” Wigginton on March 21st, 1983, celebrating a wonderful 40 years together.

Debbie was known for her kind and loving nature. She was kindhearted and caring to all she met and was always the mother figure to all those around her. She was always there for anyone in need and had a heart full of compassion. Her love for her children and grandchildren knew no bounds, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

In her career, Debbie was a dedicated wife, mother, and teacher. She had the opportunity to teach children in the Middle East and ran her own daycare for a few years. Her nurturing spirit and passion for helping others was in every aspect of her life. Nothing fulfilled Debbie more than having her family gathered close. She cherished every moment spent with each of them.

When she wasn't busy with her family or hobbies, Debbie enjoyed watching her grandkids ride their dirt bikes, watching scary movies, and crocheting numerous items. These hobbies brought her joy and allowed her to express her creativity. Her love of crafts was seen everywhere she was. Everywhere Debbie was you were sure to see her with a smile on her face and laughter around her.

The Holmes Memorial Chapel in Sullivan, Indiana will hold services in honor of Debbie. Debbie's life will be celebrated through a cremation and a Visitation services. Visitation will be at Holmes Memorial Chapel on Tuesday December 12th at 11:00 am, with services starting at 1:00pm with Pastor David Scott officiating.

Debbie is survived by her loving husband, Richard Wigginton; her sisters, Barbara (Lincoln) Jory and Tammy (Greg) MacQuarrie; her brothers, Thomas (Colleen) Cramer and Gordon (Darlene) Cramer; her son, Jeffrey Umstead, and his wife, Elizabeth Umstead; her daughter, Jennifer Ambrose, and her husband, Christopher Ambrose; her son, Nicholas Wigginton and his girlfriend, Jenna; her grandchildren, Molly, Aries, Shawn, Ayden, and Archer; as well as many other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Joanne Gates.

Debbie will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her memory will forever be treasured in the hearts of those whose lives she touched.
