Desmond Kaye "DK" Vincent, 77 of Shelburn, passed away on March 6, 2018 with his loving wife by his side. He was born in Nassawadox VA on February 27, 1941 to Raymond Lee Vincent and Tressie (Bell) Vincent. "DK" was a 1959 graduate of Brownsville High School in Brownsville TX, Joined the Air Force and stationed in Turkey. He then went on to become a commercial fisherman, a professional hunting and fishing guide in Belize Mexico and then started his own repossession and recovery business in Bloomington Normal IL. Dk was a member of Shelburn First Christian Church. Serving others and the Lord made him happy.
Survivors include Gail (Hagen) Vincent -his wife of 23 years whom he married on June 24, 1994- a sister- Anita Jean Mathews and a brother-in-law- Bob Matthews of Shelburn, a daughter Lara Patteson and her husband, Shane of Porter TX, grandchildren include Brittney Landers, Grace Smith, Robert Patteson, along with several other cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be from 11:00a.m until the time of services. Services to celebrate his life will follow at 1:00p.m on Saturday March 10, 2018 at Holmes Memorial Chapel with Rev. Barney LaFalotte officiating. Burial will be in Shelburn Little Flock Cemetery.
