Donald J. King, 83, of Sullivan passed away from Parkinson's disease on Friday April 13, 2018 at his residence with his family by his side. He was born in Robinson IL on April 5, 1935 to Orville B. King and Waunita (Roan) King. Donald was a 1953 graduate from Martinsville IL High School; graduated from Indiana Business College and was in the army from 1955 to 1957. He loved golfing, camping, boating, and woodworking. His memberships included the Sullivan Elks 911, Shelburn 1st Baptist Church, Sullivan American Legion, Apple Club LLC, and Arthur IL Masonic Lodge. Donald was employed at the Farmers State Bank in Sullivan for many years, he retired from the State Of Indiana Workforce Development. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Bryan A. King in 2011, and a twin brother Ronald L. King.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years Lois (Hall) King whom he married on April 8, 1955 in Martinsville IL; daughters Melanie (Randy) Monk, Ronda (Joe) Falconbury, grandchildren Kyle Monk, Justin Falconbury, Jordan Falconbury, Riley King, Erika King, great grandchildren Kate Falconbury, Ridge Falconbury, Mason King and Westyn King.
