Doris Evelyn Lambeth

Doris Evelyn Lambeth, 91, of Sullivan, passed away on Monday, January 25, 2016 at Breckenridge Health Care in Sullivan. She was born in Sullivan on February 17, 1924 to Frank and Nelle (Bates) McKinley. She was a member of the Rose Chapel Church, and the American Legion Auxiliary 139. She had worked at the Crane Naval Base during World War II and married Loren (Bud) Lambeth in 1945. They raised livestock and farmed until his death in 1990. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and son, Rick Lambeth, her brothers, Harvey, Hubert, Charles, Marion and Homer McKinley and sisters Juanita Snow, Luella Barnett and Elaine Shorter. Survivors include many nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday January 29, 2016 at the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Carlisle, with Kirk Langston officiating. The family suggest that, if friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made to the church, Rose Chapel, New Lebanon, or the charity of your choice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home and the graveside service.
