Eldon Schofield, 72, of Shelburn passed away on Sunday July 2, 2017 at Terre Haute Regional Hospital with his family by his side. He was born in Grayville IL on April 6, 1945 to Hubert and June (Blevins) Schofield. He was a self-employed logger, a family man who enjoyed causing trouble, fishing, bowling, gardening, cooking, and loved animals. He was preceded in death by his father, a brother Joe, two grandchildren Jason, and Shaun Bushhousen.
Survivors include his mother, wife Vicky (Hadley) Schofield, a son James "Duke" Schofield, three daughters Robyn Croft, Sherri Kvetensky and her companion Dave Halte, Darla and husband Greg Richards, brothers William (Dink) Schofield, Randy Schofield, Sisters Judy Enstrom, Linda Steele, Sandy Ashby, Jackie Dollahan, Kathy (Floz) Gott, Lori Padgett, grandchildren Melissa Hall, Brittnay and Danyelle Stuck, Chad and Brady Bushhousen, Taylor and Whitney Schofield, Anthony Croft, Connor Luttrell, ten great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday July 6, 2017 at Holmes Memorial Chapel with Rev. Norman Santus officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Burial will be at Little Flock Cemetery.
