Elizabeth Hayes

Elizabeth Hayes, 93, of Shelburn passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at Millers Merry Manor.  She was born in Roxboro, NC, on April 23, 1926, to Herbert and Ollie Day. She married Norman Hayes in 1945 and he preceded her in death in 2012. She was also preceded in death by her parents and three siblings. She was a member of the Shelburn United Methodist Church, involved with the Old Fashioned Days and a member of the Shelburn Community Club.

She is survived by her son Jim and his wife Rita of Terre Haute, two granddaughters, three great-grandsons, and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 29, 2020, at Holmes Memorial Chapel with Rev. Julie Puttman officiating.  Visitation will be on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services.  Burial will follow at Little Flock Cemetery.
