Esther Cecile (Bedwell) Wright

Esther Cecile Bedwell Wright, formerly of Farmersburg, went home to be with Jesus, on February 21, 2024, with her family at her side. She was born in Sullivan County to Cecil and Mable Neal Bedwell on July 17, 1941.  Esther was a 1959 graduate of North Central High School. She married the love of her life, Jerol (Jerry) Wright on August 28, 1959.

She was a devoted, loving wife, mother and grandmother, who enjoyed helping others. She took pride in raising her 3 children, being a homemaker and wife. Esther was a life long active member of  Farmersburg Church of Christ. She completed a career with Ivy Tech as an Administrative Assistant in 2003. Following retirement, she volunteered for Meals on Wheels, daily checking on her clients, delivering their meals with a warm smile and kind word.

Preceding her in death are her parents; husband, Jerol Wright, in September of 2014; son in-law, Greg Siner and brother in-law, Jim Kiefner.

Those left to cherish lifetime memories are her children, Terry Wright (Lydia), Tammy Siner and Tricia Wright (Glen Nash); grandchildren, Josh Wright, Tara Byrd (Mitch), Chris Wright (Michelle), Morgan Wright, Emma Wright, Rachel Siner, Matthew Siner, Natasha Mason (Rocky), Shane Sartor (Breanna), Dayton Nash along with her sister, Cindy Kiefner. She was blessed with 14 great grandchildren as well who were bright lights in her life.

Friends and family may pay their respects on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at Holmes Memorial Chapel from 4:00-8:00 pm. Services will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2024 at 11:00 am.  with Terry Wright officiating. She will be laid to rest at West Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest that if friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made to The Sullivan County Meals on Wheels,  Attn: Traci Ray, 2200 North Section St., Sullivan In 47882.
