Felicia Phyllis Coe

Felicia Phyllis Traphagen Church Coe, 78 of Terre Haute passed away on December 13, 2014, at St. Vincent Hospice in Indianapolis, IN. She was born in Erie, Pennsylvania on November 13, 1936, to Ford Alonzo and Theodosia (Theda) Mileski Traphagan. Phyllis was a 1954 graduate of St. Benedict Academy, was employed at Knauer Office Supply, then as a secretary in the Industrial Engineering Department at Lord Manufacturing in Erie. She retired from Sears after thirty-one years of service as a sales associate, in Terre Haute, IN. She was an active member of the Trinity Lutheran Church Outreach Committee, the Women's Group and Ruth Circle Bible Study. She loved Swedish weaving and made many afghans for family members, having won awards at the Vigo Co. Fair for her workmanship and was a member of the VFW Auxiliary Post 972. Phyllis married Hilton P. Church on November 23, 1957 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Erie, PA, he preceded her in death in 1996 and she was also preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her present husband Kerry Arden Coe of Terre Haute whom she married on August 14, 1999 at Trinity Lutheran Church, three sons Ken Church of Ft. Wayne, IN, Bob Church of Deltona, FL, Gary Church and his wife Cyndi of Plainfield, IN, stepson Michael Coe of Williamsfield, OH, stepdaughter Karen and her husband Mark Alderman of Hilliard, FL, two sisters Bernice Traphagan of Erie, PA, Shirley and her husband Tipton Randolph of FL, sister-in-laws Kathy Winch, Pat Augustinsky, brother-in-laws Allen Coe, Ervin Coe, five grandchildren Kristopher Church and wife Becca of Ft. Wayne, IN, Kendall Church and his wife Jessica of Fremont, NE, Joshua Church and wife Jennifer of Murfreesboro, TN, Tyler Church of Plainfield, IN, Nick Coe, three great grandchildren, Gavin Church, Jordin and Tyler, daughter-in-law Kathy Speckert and her husband Fred, nephews Jack and Michael Huber. Services will be at 6PM on Wednesday 12/17/2014 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2620 Ohio Blvd., Terre Haute, IN, with Pastor Dana Newhouse officiating. Visitation will begin at 3PM until the time of services. Burial will take place at 1 PM on Thursday 12/18/2014 at Greenlawn Cemetery in Ft. Wayne, IN.
