Gene Roger Green

Gene "Roger" Green, 51, of Shelburn passed away on Tuesday February 16, 2016 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born in Charleston West Virginia on November 12, 1964 to Edwin Eugene Green and Millie Frances (Lawrence) Green. Roger was a 1983 graduate of Owen Valley High School, an Army Veteran of Desert Storm and National Guard. He was employed by Ferrell Gas out of Vincennes, was a member of White River Tractor Association, an avid David Bradley collector, the Bloomington Gold Corvette Club, Sullivan Horseman's Association, Vigo County Posse Association; was an avid fisherman who enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and going to flea markets, and driving his 1975 Stingray. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Amy Caughran Montgomery Green, two sons Benjamin Green of Spencer, Luke Montgomery of Shelburn, a daughter Larissa Green of Spencer, two brother Eugene (Jenny) Green of Nashville, Jerry Green of Mooresville, and a grandson Nathaniel Frankson.

Services will be at 11:00a.m. on Saturday February 20, 2016 at Holmes Memorial Chapel with Rev. Norman Santus officiating. Visitation will be on Friday from 4-8:00 p.m. Burial will take place at West Lawn Cemetery in Farmersburg. Military Grave Rites will be given by the Hymera, Shelburn, and Sullivan American Legions and the Sullivan VFW. The family suggest if friends so desire memorial contributions may be made to the Sullivan County Horseman's Association. Envelopes will be available at the Funeral Home.
