Gene Scully

Gene Scully, 86, of Sullivan passed away on Wednesday April 29, at his residence. He was born in, Paxton on July 13, 1928 to Eddie Sr. and Mildred Jeffords Scully. Gene was a 1946 of Sullivan High School, was a Navy Veteran, and was employed by the Operating Engineers local 841. He was a member of the Sullivan American Legion Post 139, a member of the Sullivan Elks #911 and St. Mary's Catholic Church. Preceding him in death are his parents, his wife Mary of 63 years, a brother, Eddie Scully Jr, a sister Mary Catherine Ferguson and a grandson Blaine Scully.

Survivors include his sons David (Doris) Scully of Spencer in, Dan Scully of Vincennes, a brother Stanley Scully of Sullivan, a sister Shirley Landis of Indianapolis, Four grandchildren Jessie, Sean, Mike, Ryan Scully, and a great grandchild Lennon Scully.

Services will be held on Wednesday May 6, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in Holmes Memorial Chapel with Fr. Frank Renner officiating. Visitation will be at 11:00a.m. until the time of services. Burial will be in Center Ridge Cemetery. Military services will be given by the Hymera, Shelburn, and Sullivan American Legion and Sullivan VFW.
