Gene Shepherd

Gene Shepherd, 81, of Sullivan passed away on Sunday January 21, 2018 at Millers Merry Manor. He was born in Sullivan on December 19, 1936 to Harold Shepherd and Pauline (Saucerman) Shepherd. He was a 1954 graduate of Sullivan High School, enlisted in the Airforce where he spent five years active duty and three years in the reserve. He had been employed at various jobs but most of his years were spent farming. Gene loved fishing, hunting; was a member of the Sullivan American Legion and Sullivan VFW.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years Dianna (Carrico) Shepherd whom he married on October 21, 1960, sons Tim (Mem) Shepherd of Kissimmee FL, Kevin (Darliene) Shepherd, of Henderson KY, a daughter Pam (Keith) O'Brien of Robinson IL, eight grandchildren, several great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and other family.

Services will be at 1:00p.m Friday January 26, 2018 at Holmes Memorial Chapel with Rev. David Cox officiating. Visitation will be on Friday from 11:00a.m until the time of services. Military services will be given by the Hymera, Shelburn, and Sullivan American Legion's and the Sullivan VFW. Burial will be at Center Ridge Cemetery.
