George Haberle

George Haberle 75, of Carlisle passed away on Tuesday November 12, 2013 at Terre Haute Regional Hospital. He was born in Chicago IL on August 18, 1938 to Edwin and Theresa (Laubenstien) Haberle. George attended Carlisle High School, was a welder for Peabody Coal and was in produce, most people will remember him from the Wabash Valley area as the owner of George's Produce. George had a great love for life, was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed frying fish and most noteworthy would be his love for his family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Preceding him in death was his parents, a sister Carol Haberle and his son George Daniel Haberle in 2010. Survivors include his wife Velma Chastain Haberle, two daughters Denise Lawson of Morris IL, Debbie (Terry) Kemp of Oaktown, two brothers Howard (Pattie) Haberle of FL, Dale (Dorothy) Haberle of Carlisle, a sister Audrey Williams of Terre Haute four grandchildren Nathan Kemp, Jacob Lawson, Aimee Killion, Emily Lawson, four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday November 15, 2013 at the Holmes Memorial Chapel with Rev. Bradley Wood officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4-8:00 p.m. Burial will take place at the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Carlisle.
