Georgia (Townsend) Kiger

Georgia Kiger, 64, of Sullivan, passed away on Wednesday November 13, 2019 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute with her family by her side.  She was born in Ann Arbor Michigan on August 24, 1955 to Rex Townsend and Mary Frances (Allen) Townsend Edmondson.   She was a graduate from IVY Tech and Indiana State University where she had received her degrees in Social Work and Microbiology.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Bill, and a grandchild Kassandra Kiger.

Survivors include her daughters Jennifer Kiger of Terre Haute, Sarah (Chris) Keyes of West Terre Haute, sisters Patricia Johnson of Osceola IN, Maureen Kirk of Dayton Ohio, grandchildren, Keifer Keyes, Calob Keyes, Callie Keyes, Tanner St Juliana, and a great grandchild Christopher Keyes.

Memorial services to celebrate Georgia's life will be on Sunday December 1, 2019 at Holmes Memorial Chapel with Rev. Dick Smith officiating.  Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., with services following. A carry in dinner will follow at The Odd Fellows Building, located at 26 W Washington Street in Sullivan.
