Ginger Swalls

Virginia Lee "Ginger" Swalls, 79, of Hymera, passed away at 8:50pm on August 18, 2016 with her family by her side. She was born October 16, 1936 in Mason City, Iowa to Homer and Mabel James Alexander. Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband J. David Swalls who died February 16, 2004, a son Donald Swalls, brothers Jack and Jim Alexander and a granddaughter Amanda Lee Swalls. Survivors are sons Randal (Beth) Swalls, Jim (Nancy) Swalls, Jeffrey (Cheri)Swalls and David K. (Carissa) Swalls, daughter Vikkie (John) Cissell, sister Sally Callis of Vancouver, WA. 18 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild. Ginger was a member of the Hymera Independent Community Church, and an honorary member of the Hymera Ruritan, played the piano, loved to sing and fish, loved the Lord, was a loving wife and precious mother and grand-mother. Visitation for Ginger will be Sunday, August 21, 2016 from 4 to 8pm at Holmes Memorial Chapel in Sullivan. Services will beat at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 22, 2016 at the funeral home with her son Pastor David K. Swalls officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, in Wilfred. Holmes Memorial Chapel was entrusted with arrangements.
